For this project I had a hard time finding inspiration, but
after a few days of putting a base layer on, I decided on the theme of eyes. I believe
I executed this well because most of the pictures I had were of eyes. I decided
to make my face the focal point of the piece, with the eyes as a secondary
image, they are subtle but effective in my opinion. Over all I enjoyed the
hands on portion of this project but I was happy that we did get to work on it
in photoshop a little bit. It was a fun experience in the end.

Movie Poster Project
For this project, I decided to make a poster for a suspense movie that took place in a post-apocalyptic world. I took a picture of my dad walking through a barren field which, I thought was a good example of a barren world. When editing the picture, I added a levels layer and a vignette to give the picture more contrast and drama. I also added a marble texture and took the opacity down to give the poster a rugged look. Finally I took a picture with dust and blew it up to fit the picture and took the opacity down to give it an “end of the world” feel. I gave the world a slight dark red color and a shadow to make the piece more interesting. All in all I think I did a good job of portraying the genre and mood that I wanted.
